• Shannon engages in the community to work with those suffering from PTSD and trauma aftermath through creative collaboration. She believes that creating glass art is not only a way of expressing oneself, but also a way of healing, connecting, learning, and growing. Her long-term career mission is to advocate for traumatized individuals by supporting them in ways the justice system has failed or refused to provide. Shannon teaches veterans glassblowing at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA as part of the Hot Shop Heroes program. She also works as a demonstrator and public speaker at Chihuly Garden and Glass. In her remaining time, she works in the Seattle area making glasswork with her partner, Nick Clawson.
