About the Artists

Shannon Spruiell is a glass artist originally from Wichita Falls, Texas. She engages in the community to work with those suffering from PTSD and trauma aftermath through creative collaboration. Shannon teaches veterans glassblowing at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA as part of the Hot Shop Heroes program. She also works as a demonstrator and public speaker at Chihuly Garden and Glass. In her remaining time, she works in the Seattle area making glasswork with her partner, Nick.

Nick Clawson is a multidisciplinary artist originally from San Diego, California. His work explores the experience of light in nature and the cycles of life and death. Using found materials and handmade objects Clawson studies entropic processes necessary in creation. He draws inspiration from science and nature, and the polychromatic nuances of the morning and night sky. Nick works at Schack Art Center teaching various glassblowing classes. He is also a freelancer working with other glass artists in the community and supporting his career with his partner, Shannon.

Together the couple participates in various summer and seasonal sales with the glass art they make together. They are supported by Schack Art Centers studio where they live and work, moving toward their professional goals as glass and freelance artists.

What do you sell?

We sell all kinds of handmade glass items in our sales. Please view the video above to check out past sale selections. Items include a large selection of garden art from grass blades, bird baths, splatters, and more! Depending on the season we also sell glass pumpkins, holiday ornaments, hearts, starfish, floats, functional vessels, and much more!

What size rebar do you use for your garden art?

We use a 1/2 inch copper rod for our garden art. Rebar that measures 3/8 inches will fit perfectly.

Do you include rebar with purchases?

We provide complimentary 6-inch rebar sticks measuring 3/8 width to any buyers who need them.

What is your price range?

We sell items anywhere from $10 to $150. Cash is king at outdoor sales! Our card system (Square) charges a service fee of 3%
